POKOTABI / Kushibo
くし坊
At Kushibo, enjoy lightly battered kushikatsu chosen omakase-style, alongside à la carte dishes such as chashu pork with kimchi. Pair them with draft beer or chūhai for dinner or a solo drink.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Some diners have commented on the light batter, which lets the flavour of each ingredient come through. One person who ordered the Tokutoku course also praised how juicy the individual kushikatsu were. Starting with an omakase assortment is a good way to sample the fried skewers. The menu also lists a set of 9 items: beef cutlet, prawn, shiitake mushroom, Japanese whiting, pork fillet, asparagus, squid, scallop and quail egg. The selection offers a range of flavours to try, and is listed at 1,600 yen.
Chashu pork with kimchi is another option to add between skewers. One diner enjoyed the pork’s tender, yielding texture so much that they wished they could have more meat without the kimchi. The menu lists it as an à la carte dish for 600 yen, offering a different flavour alongside the kushikatsu.
Drinks include draft beer, highballs and chūhai in lemon, lime, yuzu and other flavours. There is also a course that includes draft beer, for those who would rather choose food and drink together. Kushibo is described as open from late afternoon into the evening and suitable for dining alone.
